Executive Compensation
In my more recent Corporate roles where I had responsibility for Executive compensation, the ownership structure of the organisations I worked in meant that I didn’t need to work with a formal Excom. I have experience of working with a reward focussed shareholder group who required an agenda, pre reads and concise minutes. They expected follow up questions to be answered before approvals were given and escalations were at the most senior level of the large corporate shareholders I worked for.
Share Schemes
This can mean so many different things to so many people and organisations. For 10 years I worked in an Employee Owned Organisation. I wasn’t responsible for the share scheme. I was part of the share scheme and made it my business to understand every detail so I could make the most of it myself but also help others understand how it worked and who to ask for help. My knowledge ranges from understanding the types of scheme and how they benefit employees, to how vesting works and the things to look out for as an employee trying to make the most of their plan.
International
It’s true - I’m not an expert. I have worked in organisations with offices all over the world - from Australia to the USA and everything in between. I’ve worked with other experts on the complexities of placing an employee from South America in the UAE. I’ve also engrossed myself in the nuances of local benefit packages and legislative salary increases. I have a background in international work and can get the right people involved to get the detail that’s needed to solve the problems.
